Description

The STEM cognate for Built Environment, Climate and Society will focus on the relationship between the built environment and its impact on climate change and society. The cognate offers courses including Structurers, the Environment and People; Energy, Water, and Public Health; Sustainable Materials; Resilience and Risk Management; and Environment Quality Control, which are all inherently tied to the field of sustainable engineering and design. By taking these courses, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of sustainable engineering and design. They will learn about sustainable practices and develop strategies to mitigate risks associated with human activities. They will be well-prepared to apply sustainable practices in their future careers.
