Description

The DisAbility and Society Cognate is designed to provide students with the opportunity to explore a variety of perspectives on the definition, role, and consequences of DisAbility in social context. The cognate addresses various types of disabilities - intellectual, physical, sensory, and psychological - as well as societal perceptions of disabilities and implications for the participation of individuals with disabilities in various aspects of social life including relationships, sports and recreation, employment, education, and community activism.
