The major institutions and organizations of American politics: the Presidency, Congress, state and local governments, and interest groups. Students will learn the values underlying the U.S. policy-making system and how the rules of the political game guide citizens' efforts to change public policy. Students will also learn how they can advocate for their own policy goals.
