A study of People and Society outside of the USA, through study abroad programs and courses that focus on issues beyond the USA. The courses taken for this cognate must be approved by the cognate representative in the school of the student's major. Courses that might be approved for the "Study Abroad" option group include any People and Society course in UM's study abroad program, including SAP courses and courses at exchange universities. Courses that might be approved for the "Beyond the USA" option group include any UM People and Society courses that relate to material studied abroad in the Study Abroad option group.
