The history of the United States from the colonial period through the Civil War. Topics include witchcraft, the American Revolution and the Civil War, religion in the colonial period, gender and sexuality, and African-American history.

A broad introduction to the discipline of museum studies. Special emphasis is placed on the art, history, and material culture of the Americas and Europe and on the museum as an institution.

This cognate will allow students to explore the art of Europe, from Roman Art to Modern Art.
